Terhutang punya pics..kekek pai seh.. i am supposed to take these pics like weeks ago!.. sorrie..was soo busy with studying lately.... sigh..i am on turbo gear now...rushing it before the school closed for xmas holidays.
Need to get the result letter before 22nd dec...and apply for my nursing course.. TOday i just got my 4th book... one more book to go and an exam..walla i am done!
But i need to do it in 2 weeks time... i really dunno whether i can do it or not..this means ..no survivor to watch, hubby has to take care of ryan every nite and sleep with him. Starting tonite..i will loose my beauty sleeps.. *sob*..
sigh nevermind la.... gotta do it!

Lazy + tired!

I am soo lazy to study rite now... i had the third book with me for a week liao...still haven't attack not even 1 question! hahahha..chia lat!
Dunno why.. just got really tired lately ...coz past week Ryan didn't sleep good and he woke up quite early every morning. By the time i am supposed to study...i was dead tired...took me 15 mins to digest one paragraph... sigh.. i have to hand in the third book next sat..if not my schedule will be go hey-wire!

Today rain cats and dogs... dun feel good at all. But we managed to get our groceries... yummie..i love groceries shopping...i even bake banana walnut cake..;)

for those who want recipe.... easy.... i just followed the one from Kuali ;)

Ingredients

150g butter 125g castor sugar 3 eggs 3 ripe bananas, mashed 75g toasted chopped walnuts Sift well: 250g superfine flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda Method Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Grease, line and grease again a 22cm round cake tin.. Cream butter and sugar until creamy and lightBeat in eggs one at a time. Stir in mashed bananas and blend well. Fold in sifted dry ingredients gradually to combine. Stir in walnuts. Spoon cake mixture into prepared tin and bake in preheated oven for 34 to 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.

i didn't have any baking powder and bicarbonate soda..so i have excluded those 2...
so my cake ended up didn't rise..but taste okie to me... like muffin lor :)

New me...

I decided to change my blog template... some refreshing colours...still need some work to do..hehehe but no time..hahah.. i know i know... i am supposed to study biology..but can't resist it....

Updates: Still studying...rite now on my 3rd book of biology... i got 99% on the first book eh...can u believe it or not? Walau..the teacher blind or what...i am not bragging here...but seriously.. i was really having a lot of problems answering questions from that book! I swear to GOD.. i was prepared to fail..praying everynite that i just pass it..so that i can apply for the nursing course..

Ryan getting so tall now..n alot more talkative than before... lotsa funny stuff can come from him..for example..whenever we watch chinese movies... he will say "yat sei sei" that's his version of chinese movies and chinese words.
n he improve his english pronounciation liao..thanks to TREEHOUSE TV..hahah...he watch every morning n pick up a lot of words from there.. :)
he is getting "lemak" also... everytime when i cough, he will bring my thermos for me..ask me to drink water... he will say.."yum cha mummy"(drink tea: apparently he thought i have tea inside the thermos) and if i eat chili...he will say..."lat lat ar mummy" (spicy ar mummy) and he will bring his water bottle for me so that i can drink water from it..
whenever he does that... my heart melts!!!
he really can be very lemak eh! wonder he takes after who huh??hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

Tonite is the haloween nite...we didnt take Ryan out trick or treating coz Kit thought Ryan is still young for that.
So we give out candies instead. At about 6 pm, Kit pour out the candies into the bowl and told Ryan to get ready to give out candies...
At that time RYan was still not sure what is going on. So both father and son getting ready and open the front door waiting for the kids to come and get their candies.

Some are cute and some didnt even dressed up! What was worst was...those teenagers...they dare to come out trick or treating... i thot this event is for little ones..
hmmm ...wonder!?

Anyway..what i am so surprise abt tonite was...Ryan actually had fun giving out candies to little ones..he even got exicted!
every kid he met at the door, he will say..tick ker treat...here u go... after he threw the candies into their bags..
how sweet! at first i was worried that he would not give out candies...u know kids...dun like to share..kinda thing..
but no..he was happy to give!

Going very slow

Ai yo..i am taking my very sweet time to study biology...imagine..i just finish lesso 1 nya on the second book. See la..i got the heart to surf around but not studying...kekeke...i know i know... sigh..so sien man..
I dunno why..maybe dun really like studying during the weekend..u know when kit is around!

Guess what we did today? we already put up our first Xmas tree! I know ..halloween is not even here yet..(is tomorrow) but..who cares..i just wanna know whether i have enough ornaments or not..so i told kit to put up the tree..hehehe
Ryan help me to put on the ornaments..it looks great.. will snap pic later!

Today we get to sleep in one extra hour coz of daylight savings thingy.
anyway...make no difference ler..still got up at 8 plus.

Now, who think that studying Biology independently is very challenging? please show ur hand!

ME! ME! ME! ME!

sigh... i am having difficulties doing the biology subject here...that explains why i neglected my blog for so long!
Person like me, dun really understands science very well, *ahem ahem* really very chialat to handle biology...somemore no guide or whatsoever...except for internet google!
This morning i handed in my first book of biology, which i think i did it very badly...not sure i can pass or not for that book...sigh..double headache here...
i have planned to ask John, the english teacher... which i assumed he will be marking Biology as well, about how i can get help if i dun understand the subject or something...
the conversation goes like this :

Me: Biology is way tougher than English... how can i get help if i need some help?
John: Hhmmph....well, i dun think u can get any help...that is why they call independent study.
Me: *BUMMER*
John: ur only help is internet.
Me: oke

what a bummer...what if i dun have internet access...chiak sai man.... (eat shit)
really tripple headache..and i am rushing this subject in order to send my nursing course application before feb1st

and guess what??! my in-laws will be back DEC 16th!!
reall can die or not?!

Stop it....sleep!

Yesterday nite Kit put Ryan to sleep in his own room. So, this morning abt 7 plus morning he woke up and came in to our room and fuss abt his wet diaper. Kit got up and change his diaper and carry him to our bed to join us. We didn't feel to get up yet coz it was cold downstairs and cozy in bed..hehehe..so, Ryan join us and lying in the midlle of the bed.
We were playing and goofing around and out of nowhere kit started to sing ...( kit is not a good singer..he sing out of tune) ..he sang twinkle twinkle little star..which is Ryan's fav... Before kit could sing the 3rd line...all of a sudden Ryan said this:

Stop it.... Sleep!

LOL!! we laugh till our stomachache..i have no idea where he learn that phrase eh...the thing is he knows when to use it!

he is getting funny lately! :)

I have to tell u..kit sang very badly...and the lyrics are all wrong one! hehehe no wonder Ryan has to say that sentence!

EXAM

I have finished all units for English..and ready for the exam. Monday i handed in my last assignment for the last unit and wanted to schedule for my exam date but.... the teacher gave me the whole booklet of exam for me to bring home!

Walau..first time for me that i can do my exam at home and at my own pace. So cool! but of course i have to do it fast because i need to make some time for biology!
The exam got 22 questions...have to write plays, analysis..all the crap stuff la.. but i am getting there...i have finished 11 questions liao...half more to go!
Planned to hand in next tuesday! this weekend is thanksgiving weekend..whooohooo..holiday time for us! will go toronto to visit my aunt!

"Choco Mai"

We like to ask Ryan who buy the toys, snacks or chocolate and he will answer who bought it.

For example :

Me: Peen kor mai vromm vroom? (who bought vroom vroom (ryan's language for toy car))
Ryan: Daddy mai! (he will say it very loud daddy bought)

On Monday i have to hand in my assignment and we went for a bus ride again..wo hooo..ehehhe..and of course..he wanted to stop by at No Frills .. well, i need to do some grocery shopping too..so he wanted the Kinder Egg chocolate..inside the choc came with a toy.

So today i ask him
Me : peen kor mai choco? (who bought choco (chocaolate : ryan's version))
Ryan: Choco mai!
Me: ???!! confuse...
i asked him again
Me: peen kor mai choco?
Ryan : Mummy mai! then he showed me the toy the he got from the choco and he said
Ryan: CHoco Mai!

hahahhaa... so cute.... he doesn't understand the free gift terms..so he thought that chocolate bought the toy for him!
How innocent!

"fun kong ar" (go to work liao)

This incident happened last week on Sunday. Before i begin, let me intro some facts first. Ryan is a daddy boy and almost everyday he will wake up together with Kit during the weekdays.. (that is like 6.30 am) He wants to kiss kiss and huggie huggie his daddy before his daddy goes to work. If kit didn't kiss or hug him, he will cry till as if ppl hit him or something. Very "lemak" this boy... well..my fault..hahaha..coz i teach him to express him feelings too much liao.. coz i fear like he doesn't know how to express his feelings like his daddy..i dun want that...i want him to share his mind with us when he is like teenager..so i think i should start now..kekeke
Anyway, back to the story... so daddy will tell him...

Daddy: Daddy fun kong ar....fai fai fun (daddy has to go to work...will come back fast)
Ryan: huggie huggie ar,
Daddy: Okie okie...*hugggie huggie him* okie la..daddy fun kong (kit make his move to the door)
Ryan: Screaming.. kiss kiss ar
Daddy : oke okie...daddy come back and give him kiss kiss..on both cheeks and on the mouth too. (dadddy move towards the door again)
Ryan: Kiss kiss ar (what he wants now is..he want to kiss his daddy back)
Daddy: walk back to ryan and let ryan kiss him...

The whole thing will cause kit abt 3-4 mins ...before he can actually walk out the door.

This is not wat actually happened last Sunday. What actually happened was :

I was busy reading my book and kit was watching dvd...suddenly i heard Ryan saying

Ryan: Fun kong ar... bye bye....kiss kiss ar..huggie huggie ar
(he sling Kit's lunch bag on his shoulder and walk to me and told me this)
Me: Nei fun kong ar? okie....bye bye..fai fai fun ar.... kiss kiss mommy first ( you go to work ar? okie bye bye... come back faster ar)
Ryan: hai hai ar.... (shoe shoe ar) he walks towards the door and ask me to take his shoe for him
Ryan: Cher see (car keys)
ME: Cher see? nei you char cher ar? (Car keys? u want to drive car?)
Ryan: Cher see ar...fun kong ...fai fai fun ..(car keys ar...go to work..come back fast) and he blew kisses to me.

ME & KIT: LOL

this is what RYan do almost everyday since last sunday...he will pretend that he will go to work..sometimes kit will ask him where u go to work...then he cannot answer then he will say..fun kong ar..then kiss u till ur cheek wet.

9 years!

Today is our 9 years of anniversary of being together :) It's been 9 years already ! Well, time really flies.. eh..
We didn't do much but Kit did surprise me with this :) I was busy doing my assignment, Kit surprised me with my fav carnation :) Yippieeeeeee..hehehe..never thought that he will do that..ahhahaah..
Actually, we kinda celebrated earlier on saturday nite, we went out for dinner at Harvest Moon Chinese Restaurant . We had Cantonese Fried noodle with crab meat and seafood congee. Ryan loves the congee.

Virus attack us

Three of us are sick. Started with Kit with sore throat lead to cold and flu. Ryan being so attach to his daddy, he cannot run away from the virus.. so Ryan ended up having runny and stuffy nose. I was the last one caught the virus. Sigh... now three of us having trouble to sleep at nite esp Ryan. Luckily he didn't fuss much...he just kept awake and want to watch tv all nite. Ha... poor me and kit take turns to accompany him..making sure that he is okie. We did give him the medicine..but i guess the medicine not working at all.
Today we changed the second one. Kit got better already. I got worst today. Kit took all the medicine and left me nothing. I suffered last nite and today.
Not easy to take care a sick kid while u r sick as well. My GOD! i wish i had someone that can help me today. I wish i leave nearby to my aunt or sis or whoever!
Two days already...i didn't touch the book. Didn't have the strength at all. I am running late man... i hope i can make it!

fun bus ride

Wohooo... I took Ryan for a public bus ride for the second time. Well, the first time happenend sometime in JUly...that time i had no choice to go to the District School Board to exchange the english workbook.. I was soo terrified ..coz worrying that Ryan won't behave and fuss alot. yea..i am very chicken to bring Ryan out alone. I need Kit to be there with me. I mean to short distances i am okie..like to the park or Nofrills.. (groceries store) ..but a bus ride?
The first time ..it went alright..he behave soo much...quietly sat on my lap when we were on the bus :)
i was so surprised and glad!
After i took the book, Ryan asked me to buy him some fries from MCD.. ha! no wonder he behaved so good ler.. ;P

ANyway, today we ride the bus again. I just finished my 3rd book and i have to go to this place call Red hill centre to hand in my assignment and take the 4th book.
We have to take 2 different busses. Yesterday nite i was soo worried and stressed out abt the ride again! One thing i have to give credit to busses services here... they have time schedules that u can check and be on time at the particular bus stop..
Compared to Malaysia? boy oh boy..i won't take bus with Ryan in malaysia!
Once again, he was a good..no no..great !! I am soo proud and happy..
So when we got back, i brought him to Nofrills buy him something. He picked one box of Kellogs honey and oat munchies... okie ler...since he soo great ! :)

As for my assignment update... rite now i am working on the 4th book. After that i can schedule for an exam and start Biology!
I can't wait to finish everything n waiting to start nursing school next sept.

phone conversation ala "ah beng"

Lately, Ryan has developed a new toy, talking on the phone... not on the toy phone...a real phone.
He likes to take our cordless phone , walking around and pretending to talk on the phone... exactly like those "ah beng" negotiating big business..kekekek very funny..i just wish i can record those moments...
couldn't get the right time of taking the video camera whenever he is playing wit h the phone.

heheh... My mil and Kit always tell him that i am studying when he ask for me... so i guess..he is trying to tell everyone i am busy studying..

..he is soo cute!
sometimes ..he really talks like those ah beng negotiating big business... but in baby talk version..hahaha
I guess the malaysian blood does flow in him ;)

News update!

Whoohoooooooooooooo.... freedom at last... PIL went to mississauga yesterday evening..and going back to malaysia for i think 4 months.... :)
Well, good and bad...bad as in no one will help me looking after Ryan while i am studying...good as in..we have back our privacy!!

I have handed in my second book yesterday..and doing the third book. I have got back my first book...i only managed to get 80.8% out of 100... hmm..boleh la...me dun care...as long as i get to go in to the course i want...
Sigh...the english teacher..(JOHN PYETTE) ..look very strict.... and speak very snobbish too... i guess every English teachers are like that..
not all..some..u know..esp. from ENGLAND!!

me no care..as long me no fail..happy already...coz my first language is not ENGLISH..hehehehe
so not soo bad ler ;)
Now...i have to read some novel..so call criminal novel..and do some report abt characters, lines...scenes...

Ryan is taking his nap... just now called home..spoke to dad and sis...they seem alright...sis is extremely busy with her craftwork...wanna make lotsa goodies on time to sell it on sunday..at penang street..i believe..

He can feed himself yogurt

Ryan is getting more and more independent each day. Started last week, he can wear his own pants, take out his shoes, feed himself (soup, rice, bread with egg, yogurt). I am so proud of him eventhough he make a lot mess when he try to feed himself. I dun mind the cleaning..is all worth it. :)

Lately, he is helping me out with the chores, bringing the dust pan to me when i sweep the floor... help me to water the plants, and even take out the weeds! Unbelievable! I just wish he will continue doing this when he is older...hehehehe

Fun at Centre Island

On Sunday, we went to Centre Island in Toronto for a ferry ride and beach fun. Ryan of coz had the most fun that day. Didn't manage to take lots of pics. That's our first vacation this year. I was so busy with my studies.. I finally finished it yesterday. Going to submit it today and get another book :(

"What do you mean my child?" asked the father in law.

"What I mean is:

Those who used to wash dishes must carry on washing them.
Those who used to do the laundry must carry on doing it.
Those who cooked shouldn't stop at my account, and those who used to clean should continue cleaning".

"Then what are you here for?" asked the mother in law.

"As for me, my job is to entertain your son!"

going very slow....

I am going very slow with my assignments. The english course has 4 units all together. Each unit or book, has 5 lessons. Each lesson has 4 support questions and 1 Key question. All i have to do is answer all the 5 lessons Key questions and handed in.
After i finish a book, i only get to get the second book or unit.

Rite now i am at first book second lesson only. Sigh...very cham ler... headache...dun feel like studying at all. Getting old..brain also bit jam here and there liao. I just finished typing the second lesson key question. Don't think i can continue the lesson 3.
Man i am bit frustrated.

ANyway, just wanna let out a bit..hehehe... Well, Ryan is getting taller nowadays.. and he talks a lot lately. Learned lotsa chinese words.. of course chinese words...he only speaks cantonese..hehehee..
I tried to teach him both cantonese and english..but he got confuse easily. He picked up his cantonese faster than english.
But he learned how to sing fast...but his pronounciation of those english words is very bad...didn't get it properly.
Oh well, he is only 2 and a half.. hopefully he can get better :)

On saturday, my neighbour Mara were out doing her gardening. All of a sudden, heavy rain poured down.. but she continued coz she said she has no time to do it except for today.
So, my dear son, kept calling "Arra, (MARA) ... okkk kei ar...sapp sappp (house ar ..wet wet)
what he meant was...go inside the house.. u r getting wet.
but poor Ryan, Mara didn't understand what he said...soo again he didn't get any response from her..
heheh but this time he didn't say "em kong la"

busy.... :(

I have no time to blog lately and i am kinda exhausted too. I have to study at nite plus taking care of Ryan day time.
Don't feel good at all. Our lives has totally changed..it is hard to live with someone else especially u were soo used to ur own style and way of doing things.
My PIL are okie so far...but there are things here and there that i cannot avoid it... is just like they mind their own business and i mind my own business..

Ryan is doing very well..he has learned alot lately. He managed to recognized alphabets A-T...he is getting there.
Everyday, i tried to teach him new stuff and play with him. He is more fascinated with the remote control car that daddy bought for him.
He will say to me everyday by pointing at the remote control car :

RYan : charge teen ar (charging the battery ar)
ME : hai lor... you charge teen ..em hai ..em wan tak ka (yes...need to charge the battery if not u cannot play later)

*** actually, the battery is fine...is just that i dunno how to operate the car...u know..kit always play with Ryan..not me..so i dare not touch those gadget stuff..
i felt bad..kekekek... i know i am bad mother...i shouldn't lie to him.

He is fine...luckily he didn't fuss abt it...is just that when Kit got home..he will fuss abt it..and kit has to let him play..
hahha...am i good or what? phewwwwwwwwwwwwww :)

I am supposed to do my assingment now..but i felt so tired and i couldn't concentrate at all... sighh...
i just wish i can study in the morning when my brain is fresh...
but i can't coz Ryan won't let me.... he will destroy everything. :(
I guess i have no choice...just have to have the "just do it" attitude...hehehe :)

I need hugs badly!!

"emm kong" (dun wanna talk)

This incident happened 2 days ago during evening time.
Everyone was outside the yard enjoying the nice weather. I was watering my lawn, mil weeding the lawn, FIL & Kit were inside the garage doing something.
As for Ryan, he was runing up and down the driveway, having his fun like as if he was locked up in the prison for days...hhehehehe

As i was watering the lawn, my neighbour Bertha (70 plus old woman) very nice but has a strong attitude abt everything..but overall she is nice to us :)
Normally, whenever i see her come out the backyard i will greet her by saying "Hi Bertha"

So, Ryan thought everytime he sees Bertha, he has to address Bertha.. "hi bertha"..
And to explain further the incident, we have a bush fence that is abt 6 foot tall in between bertha's house and ours.

As i was watering the lawn, Bertha came out from the house and water her plants as well.
But i couldn't see her well, so i did not greet her, is not nice to greet somebody when that somebody couldn't see u at all... (coz the fence is covering up)

So.. what happened was :-

Ryan: iii ertha
Ryan : iii ertha
Me: aunty bertha teng em tou... kong dai sang tit (aunty bertha cannot hear u, u call her louder)
Ryan: iii ertha (louder tone)

No response from Bertha so far...
Me : aunty bertha tai emm tou nei..hei chiin tit (aunty bertha cannot see u, go further front where she can see u)

Ryan walk further fron where there is no fence, and...
Ryan : iiii ertha

Still no response from her...
At this moment..ryan was kinda upset a little bit...
Ryan : em kong la.. *he walked away and looked for daddy* (em kong = dunna wanna talk anymore)

LoL... this little fella...i was surprised he said that... what he meant was... i am not going to call anymore... wasting my time and effort..coz he was not getting any response at all..
poor boy...
we were laughing so hard..

I dunno how he get that dunna wanna talk thingy..hehehe never taught him be4... :)

Actually Berta didn't see him and didn't hear him well..that's why..he got no response ...
after that..i brought him over to say hi to her..
then he felt much more better :)

Nursing Course

I am going to enrol myself in the Practical Nursing Course next year. Right now i have to have my Malaysian high school & Australia degree assessed in order to get into the course.
The requirements are grade 12 (M'sia form 6) English and Science (Biology) for a mature students application..(like me)
Is pretty hard when u are a foreigner here when u want to go back to school. They make it soo hard for u to get back onto your feet.
Come on, english? sigh...that's the system here..no matter u have a Phd or what...u still have to go through their Grade 12 English.

So rite now i am studying independently at home the english.. pretty much work to do..all the reading and writing..Shakespear & stuff...
no kidding eh...
After i pass these 2 papers, i can only apply into the nursing course, which start around September 07.
Initially, my plan is going back to school around Jan, coz their intakes are Jan & Sept.. but the jan one are fulled now!
So i have to wait!
good also...in a way coz i get to spend more time with Ryan and teach him more stuff.
My mil will take care of Ryan for me once i start school...
but she doesn't understand English.. so is very hard for her to teach Ryan the basic kindy stuff.
It will be tougher for Ryan because he has 2 languages to master, rite now we speak mostly Cantonese to him..and his english is not very good.
so, Ryan might find some difficulties when he starts school.
I am doing my best to teach him the basic english and make his life easier... :)
tough!

My life is getting more busier these days because i need to handle more stuff now. My nights will be hectic and tired. It's been awhile for me since the last time i handle school stuff. My brain getting really rusty...hehehe
Oh yea... i totally forgot that i helped Kit to study Company and Business law for his C.E.T. exam.. (which he managed to pass eh!!) :)

oh well, good training for me rite now...so next year it won't be that hard anymore :)

I chose Nursing because i have a passion for this field since when i was young. I love to take care of people and i like to hang around with old folks.
I pursue business field after my SPM because everyone told me Nursing back home not really a good position.
Oh well, i dun care what other ppl say now...i just wanna do what i want now...
Least nursing job overhere is good.. the pay is not bad eh...they pay u starting salary with 39k a year & there are plenty of job everywhere.
The most important thing is..i can work part time and spend more time with Ryan :)
I really hope everything will turn good for me this time. Seriously i really needed this badly!
I am willing to work my butt off for this :))

KFC-HOT & SPICY

Finally, here got hot and spicy KFC! They finally managed to came out this recipe huh...buttttttttttttttttttttt is not as tasty as the one in Malaysia.
Yup, we had KFC today . MIL treat one..not bad huh...coz i have been cooking for a week this week already..i guess she felt bad or just sick with my food..kekekkeke
i dun care ler..as long as i dun have to cook! :)

Didn't get to eat much though..just had 2 pieces...coz i am still sick eh..kekkekek.. still have a little bit cough.
This weekend is long weekend for us..coz tomorrow Jul 1st is CANADA DAY... something like merdeka kua..i have no idea..kekkeke pai seh
Cannot go anywhere yet..kit has to send his car for a fix....yea..since last tuesday he couldn't get an appoinment to fix his car till tomorrow.

well least we have a long weekend...so can spend another day with Kit ;)

17-25th updates

I am back... from so called "vacation". Sigh, having bad luck lately eh... the 1 week vacation was not really good for us.
Well, the weekends was not bad..went to visit my aunt in toronto and of course Scarborough ..did some shopping overthere.
As for the weekdays, omigosh...we had the worst week ever!
Monday, we went to settle my school stuff..and i did't get it done and have to make an appointment that day to meet someone on Thursday to discuss abt my high school diploma from Malaysia assessment. That day FIL didn't get to work due to rain in the morning, so fetch him to update his driver's license..change of address.
At nite we managed to go for a movie...yippie..what a break! we haven't watch movie for moon ages eh...we watched CARS that nite and came back quite late too.. We had to watch the latest show coz need to wait Ryan fall asleep first b4 we can go out.

Tuesday, initially we planned to go Hilton Falls, but due to we came back late from the movie on Monday nite, we decided to go on Wednesday. We woke up quite late.. (7.30 am) and went to Gage park..nearby our house for a good walk.
Came back ..did some gardening at the backyard and ryan was having fun playing with the dirt.
Noon time... as usual he had his nap, and i did my chores and Kit played his games.
Abt 3 plus... RYan got fever and he developed seizure...
I can tell u... that moment was the worst moment ever for us... it was the first time Ryan had seizure... one minute he was okie..the next minute he was unconscious...i called 911 and the ambulance came.
At that time we weren't sure what's going on...and the paramedics attended Ryan with care...asked me lots of questions..my brain was total blanked..i wasn't sure i answered them correctly.
My heart raise soo fast that it will fall out...
I follow Ryan to hospital in the ambulance..kept calling his name..he was soo brave..i tell u..he did not cry... he was half conscious and half unconscious...there were soo many stuff on his body and nose...i dunno what those call...the stuff that monitor ur heart beat..
deep inside me i am sure he was very scared...
I try to keep him calm and secured...but he was too tired to cry or anything..

We arrived at the hospital around 4 pm..and the emergency nurse attended Ryan with Tylenol.. (fever medicine) check his pressure n stuff..
and asked me to wait for the doctor for final check up
after awhile..kit came...( he has to follow behind the ambulance)
..we waited for 3 hours for the doc to come...he said it is common that children at his age..to have seizure if fever develops..
it won't affect the brain cells..but for safety purposes... we must always monitor his tempreature..
Sighhhhhh... scared the hell out of us.... the doc asked us to stayed back ...coz they need to check Ryan's urine ...just in case got virus infection that caused the fever...
well..he was negative for all virus THANK GOD!
it was just the heat only..

but i tell u... that day was the worst day ever for me!
i couldn't explain here how i felt that day...
no words can explain.

the rest of the days..were just normal and bad...Kit's car broke down on tuesday nite..when we got back from hospital..
triple sigh....we didn't get to go anywhere we planned to go ...just stayed home and 'grow mushroom"

pretty bad luck this year... dunno why...
i hope this coming long weekend will be better :)
RYan is much better now...but i catched a cold...had a very bad cough... :(
that's why i didn't get to update my blog..
managed to visit some of my fav blogs... but lazy to update ;)

1 week vacation!

Wohoooooooooooooooooooooo..kit is on his 1 week vacation! We soo need it so badly eh... already plan to go lotsa places..mostly in ontario. Budget ler... need to save some money...coz more ppl live in the house..more expenses liao ..sighhhhhh :(

We are going to Scarborough tomorrow and visit my Aunt too... need to give my aunt some of the goodies that my sis sent me the other day! :)
we have to go to SIL's place for dinner..having bbq ..sort off celebrating Father's day ler...but Fil and mil working late..so they are going to be late tomorrow... I think sil is not going to be happy abt it!

Anyway who cares man...as long as i am enjoying my scarborough trip and visiting my aunt!
Rite now..i am trying so hard not to be in the same room with MIL..so that..less conflict if we see each other less!

Better this way :) .. just now the whole evening, Kit myself and Ryan were outside playing and cleaning up the backyard..
i think mil inside unpack her stuff ( which is good..high time she need to do that eh! )

just hope our vacation will be fun! :)

I will cook!

Ha! that is the phrase that she uttered yesterday morning before she went to work... "I will cook..onwards...
and guess what my dearest mother in law did to me yesterday...

Yesterday morning conversation:

MIL: err.. i'll cook onwards la.. if i have to work overtime, u cook then.

Me: as usual...keeping my silence.......no response...

MIL: err..what to cook today leh.?.... hmm u check the freezer ..see anything okie to take out...ohh..maybe the fish..take out the fish then.

Me: fish? cook fish? my rangehood is not that good..later the whole house going to be smelly.

MIL: nevermind la..i cook it outside....

Me: keeping silence....
...she went to work afterthat....and me taking out the fish..to taw it...

Evening time...around 5.40 i cook the rice..wash the vege and thought maybe when she comes back..she will just cook the fish.
she normally comes back around 5.45pm..but is already 6 pm..no calls to say she is working late..etc etc..

I have to dig out somethingelse to cook... i am soo very mad..least she should call me and inform me ...if u can't cook..dun said it soo loud that u wanna cook!!

somemore.. i have to cook something extra so enough for FIL to take for lunch today and the food must be dry..no gravy stuff...coz the food will turn bad..(he is working in the vineyard-weather is very hot)
sighh..memang la "cheh suuu"...excuse me..i am very mad liao..i have to use my hokkien..meaning they really give me problems man!

M.I.L.

Yup..u guys gonna see this word very often on my blog! heheh... yup they are already in our house. The moving day itself..already worn us out!
They started to move stuff on sunday morning where Kit and his younger bro went over to the house to help out. (PIL's house is just 5 mins drive from ours). I decided Ryan and myself stayed home and cooked lunch for them as well as getting ready for the stuff to come in.
Sil came over too..(i was surprised too that she came coz she normally wont do this kind of stuff coz she is afraid of problems..the best is..if u got problem..pls dun call her!)

As i was half way preparing the lunch (for 10 ppl), Sil called asking me..have u already cooked..if not we can order some food and eat?...duh!!! ask for fun... very fake! i dun really like her character..coz she is always pretending..never sincere or honest to u!
I really hate those type of person. To me..if u have anything to say to me..say it right into my face..dun go behind my back or something.
Well, i know she was just checking whether i already cooked.. coz if i have cooked already..she don't have to spend her money maa..
smart huh?!

By the way, her hubby..is even worst... frankly her original character was not like that.. it is because the hubby influence her. Omigosh..her hubby ..i can tell u..i have never met such a person b4!
to tell u the truth...he is the worst... worst than my mil.
My sunday was crazy for us. Imagine my house rite now is a mess...HELL MESS!!
and guess what?

mil said this to me on sunday nite :

MIL: (in chinese of course..but i just traslate in eng) err..dunno whether should i go to work tomorrow....maybe take day off to unpack and tidy up the house (my house) la..

Me: keeping quite...silenceeeeeeeee.....

MIL: ummm i think better go to work la...no work no money maa...the stuff..u can unpack it slowly tomorrow maa... so nevermind la... slowly u can do it!

ME: rolling my eyes in shock!! thinking in my brain: what the F**** me? pack ur stuff tomorrow? hello?!!! ur stuff wor? how do i know where to put man? me? no wayyyyyyyyy!!!!

the conversation ended..without any response from me....

soooooo..results ..till today tuesday already liao... still no tidy up... sighhhhhhhhhh my house is in real mess..
come on man..take la one or 2 days off...money soo important meh..walau eh! dun expect to know where to put ur stuff..
n ryan is running around the house...i have to put away on the side!
she really causing me lotsa problems and headaches eh!

We were soo busy for the past few weeks, days or whatever due to my in-law are moving in this coming sunday. YUP! i have left 1 more day to enjoy my privacy and freedom with my family :( .

I have nothing to post these days...looking through old pictures and found these....a series of pictures from Ryan was a few weeks old till current..the way how he sleeps... :)
One of my best moments is when my little angel is asleep.... ahhhhhhhhhhhh..peaceful.. :)

This happens yesterday:
***daddy took out a bag of potato chips to munch & i was washing the dishes and i heard:

Ryan: mummy ar ...pei ar...mummy ar.. (pei=give)
Daddy: pei mummy meh yeh? (give mummy what?)
Ryan: mummy ar..pei mummy pitttss (pittsss=chips)
...hehehe..see my little one..he thought abt me and soo worried that daddy eat everything..without leaving me some..so sweet!

This happens last friday (morning when he woke up):

Ryan: lok hei ar( go down)
Me: lok hei peen tou( go down where)
Ryan : hei san ar ( get up)
Me: hei san cho meer ye? (get up do what)
Ryan: Chak nga ar(brush teeth ar)
Me: lol

Boyy...he wants me to get up and brush his teeth and go downstairs with him so that he can watch his sesame street programme.

Sigh.. dunno why i felt soo miserable today! Inside me i am sooo dying to be alone! hahaha..yeaaaaaaa... i need it soo badly eh.
I know no matter how cute and good Ryan is...sometimes he really does drives me crazy!
I am just being honest here.. am not a good mom here. I cannot give 100% of me to Ryan. I just can't.
I dunno how other mothers did it...i really salute them! It takes lotsa patience ..n me? i am not a patience person.

Today, Ryan didn't nap at all and he is just too demanding nowadays. I think i snap out and i punish him for no reason.
I just shut down and take myself away from home...from ryan and kit.

I think i really need my break soo badly!! U know what..sometimes i feel i can re-wind the time and decide not to have RYan..
BUt i can't! I know i should be thankful and grateful! but i am being honest here.. i am very tired and exhausted here.
I miss my single life..i really do!

Some pictures of Ryan i have taken weeks ago. Don't have the time to download earlier.. yea the first one, Ryan and Kit were on the driveway on evening , came back from the wagon ride :)
Second and third one were fun time at bath time. Is a must for Ryan to play water first b4 his bath.
and the last one is when he was sound asleep on the sofa. ..that is his favourite blanket ..where he drags everywhere he goes. can't live without it!

i am much better now

I am soo much better now, still have little bit of cough when my throat is dry(at first i didn't know coughing is also sign from the allegry till i heard it from FIL's friend on sunday-he had it too..his was very bad)

Our long weekend was not bad. I took my ex-boss and colleague to Mississauga for shopping at Yuan Ming( chinese groccery store). They love it..especially Anita. BOy she shop like crazy..everything to her is very cheap :)
At first i planned to treat them dim sum..but too bad Anita wanted to go back early so no dim sum that day. After the groccery shopping, we stopped by at my SIL's place to pick up BIL (kit's younger bro) to come over to Hamilton to stay overnite at our place...coz sunday we planned to go to Scarborough...furthermore, MIL wanted to see him very much.
(they have a very strange relationship..coz my bil grew up without parents around..so he seldom talk to my PIL)
i can't blame him coz he grew up here not malaysia...different background...and my pil have different culture and thinking.
MIL dun understand him and soo eager to communicate with him but..he just won't wanna say a thing..just yes or no only..
Sighhhhhhhhh... it is sad to see this situation..as a mother...i am aching inside..coz i cannot imagine if Ryan treats me like this..
as a child myself... i pitty my bil..coz i really looking forward for my parents love...but all i have is just constant nagging and no to my wishes..without listening to it first.
My pil just dun understand him...

So i always try to talk my BIL...he is just 2 years younger than me..so we can click very well. Still young and looking for a gf..
he is saving very hard to get his own place so that he can have his own life...but too bad he didn't get any support from his parents. :(
what a shame.... he is not asking for money...all he is asking is support and courage. :(
If we have enough money we will help him... Kit and I understand his situation..and try to help him as much as we can.
Ryan loves him too...his fav uncle.. :)

Anyway,back to our weekend, sunday was okie...got back early managed to buy some pirated dvds..hehehehe
and monday, we just stayed home and clean up for pil moving in. So much to do...they are moving in this coming June 11th.
I am praying hard everynite... for His guidance,wisdom, love and strength for me to go through this challenge.

i am sick again

hate it ..when i am sick ..coz i couldn't lie down and rest anytime i want due to Ryan wants attention all the time. I dun like when i am sick...i haven't been sick since RYan is born eh...Thank God..coz i couldn't get sick..is hard to babysit kids when u r sick.. sigh..i guess my body system is running very low now...
I got back my sinus , pollen.. so i am sneezing and my nose is congested again whole day and nite.
i couldn;t take the medicine due to the drowsiness...arghhhhhhhhhhhh

i just wish somebody can take over my place for just few hours!! whooooo will? sighhh...

i feeel bad for ryan too..can't really concentrate to play with him whole day... i can't wait till 5.30 pm..so that Kit can take over..
this is the time u wish u have control over the clock..hehehehe :)

Spring season rain

It has been raining for the past few days.. is normal coz is Spring season. The lawn and plants needed it. But too bad for Ryan coz we couldn't go out to the backyard and play.
So what happened last few days was i try to play with him the matching games.
I printed out the alphabet and numbers out and cut them and glue them on the hard card board.
I tried to show Ryan the a-z alphabet and ask him to match the same one. To my surprise, he knows a lot.
He recognize the alphabet a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i, r,s,t,u,v, ...quite a lot of alphabet..and he knows how to pronounce it too..
but for the w ...he couldn't get it rite..he pronounce it as "i lat u" heheh sounded soo funny..and he knows he pronounce it wrong..coz after he say it..he will giggle and giggle out loud :)

it is tough to keep him in door..coz i will have to entertain him all the time and he won't take his nap long coz he is not tired from playing outside. :(
so these few days...i am really tired.
I have to clean the house to make some room for my PIL's stuff coming in .

But i am soo looking forward this coming weekend..coz is long weekend (Victoria day) and we are going to Scarborough to shop.. shop for dvd..hehehe china town got lotsa goodies :))
can't wait!

Ryan ala Lionel Richie

This happened on Monday where i was busy wiping off the dust from the tv rack. I love working with music on and i always listen to Lionel Richie's song.
I was playing his latest album call Just for U and "I still believe" song was playing. I didn't really focus on what Ryan was doing as i was busy wiping the dust, all of a sudden i hear this :

Ryan: *mumble ..mumble** arr sunnnn...me...mumble..
wayyyyy...

He was repeating this quite a few times and it caught my attention that he was trying to sing along with Lionel's song..

The part he was singing actually sounds like this :

He was singing the sun part and away part...

I stopped my wiping and started to laugh so bad...omigosh..it sounded very funny and soo hilirious...i just wish i can record it...too bad :(

He loves music..just like me! heehe maybe trained by me..coz i always listen to music no matter what i am doing...infact when i was pregnant with Ryan..i used to listen to lotsa songs.. :) it calms me down :)

Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers for Kit's exam. He is done phewwwwwwwww..n now hopefully he can pass :)

I was so stressed up for the past weeks. Didn't get much sleep and tired from babysitting my 2 babies...one big one and one small one ..ehehe ;)

Sunday was pretty good, Kit let me slept in in the morning and handle Ryan in the morning :) Brew coffee and made me breakfast in the morning :)
Got special treatment for that day hahaha
Took me out for lunch and we bought dinner over to PIL's place. He has to pampered his mom too leh..so have to be fair too.. :)
We bought a bouquet of flowers for her and she seem very happy too :)

Overall, i am grateful and thankful for everything. I said some prayers for my MOM. She was the best in the world for me :)
The LORD loves her sooo much that HE wants to keep her beside him. I am thankful to HIM for giving me such a wonderful mother to me eventhough we spent 14 years together only.
GOD BLESS HER SOUL :)

study study and study

Kit is on 3 days study leave. This morning Ryan woke up and check kit's room and saw him still sleeping, he was soo happy and woke kit up by saying "hei san ar" (get up)..."ar ning" .."hello"...keep repeating those words non-stop till kit got up! Ryan always check kit's room everyday when he woke up hoping to see his daddy still at home :) hehehe

After breakfast, i played awhile with Ryan (trying to distract Ryan from Kit while kit went upstairs to study)
I brought him out to the backyard to play some dirt. Gosh he loves dirt and always got his hands and feet dirty.
but he really enjoyed himself very much.

We stayed outside till abt noon time and i asked him to go inside and wash his hands and feet . After washing him, he said "huggie huggie" "kiss Kiss" hehehe..yea he learned new action which is hug hug..and he said huggie..and kiss kiss..
he did that sort of like thanking me for bringing him out to play :)
such a cheeky boy!

Poor kit..been staying upstairs almost the whole day till now. He is taking break now playing with Ryan. He has to play with RYan..coz Ryan treat him like a playmate instead of daddy..hahahha
Ryan is more afraid of me than Kit. So KIt always got bully by Ryan.

"arr q", "piss", "arr kum"

that is ryan's version of thank you. Whenever i give him something or i ask him to do something i always say thank you. teaching him that he has to say thank you if somebody give something.
Everyday, after i bath him and comb his hair , he will say "arr q" and kiss kiss (kiss me on my lips)

ryan's version of please. I teach him how to say please at the right time. Everytime, i change his diaper he likes to kick his leg, so i always say "ryan please mou tek(dun kick)". so nowadays, everytime i change his diaper, he will tease me firs by kicking once and twice then he will say "piss piss" --kinda waiting for me to say please to him..when i say please, then he will stop kicking and he will say "okie"

Sold-- Closing date June 16th

My PIL's house is sold and the closing date is June 16th. Sighhhhhhhh.. how i feel abt it? Funny and stressful!
WHY? well, some of u guys know the relatioship between my mil and myself. (some of u that dunno, u can find out from my very first blog).
In summary, our relationship is like the typical mil and dil. She was the reason that we moved out and got our own place eventhough we were not ready to buy a house back then.
ANyway, the shocking news to me now is they are moving in with us!!!!
How funnny and weird this is?

I can't believe this! they are the one chasing us out...n now they wanna move in back with us :(
As time goes by everyday nowadays, i am feeling crazy and nervous.
I can't imagine how it will be when they move in. I can't say no coz they got no place to live...well, they can live with their daughter in mississauga..but to them.. is shameful to live with daughter.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhh... butttttttttttttttttttttttt..the good news is.. i am trying to make the worst situation into better situation.. as in enrolling myself in nursing course. i am thinking of taking a 2 years full time nursing course next january..and while mil is at home..she can take care of Ryan for me.
I need to get out and mix with ppl..i need it badly.
SO i hope everything turn out good.
Why next jan and not this sept? well because PIL are going back this coming august for Kit's elder bro wedding.
and why i didn't send ryan to daycare? coz we cannot afford and i don't want ryan to forget his chinese language.
Furthermore, MIL is athome and is flexible for me to arrange the time. Least i have peace of mind what Ryan is gonna eat and do. :)
there are pros and cons for this situation. I know there will be conflicts here and there..but i have to bite my tongue for it.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT..for sure this time will be different coz this is my house and not her house..

very very busy

These few weeks i will be very busy coz i am helping Kit summarizing his notes (exam next saturday) as well as helping my in-laws selling their house.
Very tiring and exhausting travelling in and out everyday. :(
I will keep u guys posted when everything settled down :)

Furthermore i am having the pollen alergies lately..sighhh..so sien man... i dun wanna take the allergies pills coz it will come back again next year..trying to fight it very hard! ai yai yai..with watery eyes..stuffy nose and snezzing all the time.

Ryan's language Part 2

This morning

The weather is getting warmer and this morning i woke up around 5.30 am to go to the bathroom and after that i left the room door open coz it was abit warm. After that i went back to sleep. Around 7.30 am Ryan got up and he climbed down from the bed (he sleeps with me) and went outside the room, after awhile he came back and came near me and say "saap saap" (wet wet in cantonese) and i can barely open my eyes..and the first thing i saw was he was holding a diaper and asking me to change for him..
Aweeeeeeeeeeeee at that time even how sleepy i was...i was like melted and got up and change for him.. he is soo sweet now.. :)

Last monday

Ryan got up early on that day..dunno why...he woke up around 6.30 am..that is the time kit was getting ready for work. Ryan got soo upset and wanna follow Kit to work.. crying and got cranky.. we told him that daddy has to go to work and will come back later to play with u..okie..
he was still crying n wanted Kit to carry him.
Then all of a sudden he said "fai fai fun" (faster come back home) ... boyyy..i felt soo touch ..and happy feeling in my heart ... he got soo attached to his daddy :)

Business and Company Law

Boyyyyyyy it's been awhile since i took that 2 subjects : Business and Company law.. not my favourite subjects but i had to do it to collect my credit points in order to graduate.
I remember having hard time to study and understand the law terms but certain parts really fun to study..such as contract sections.

Why am i suddenly talking abt these 2 subjects? Well, Kit has enrolled himself for an exam of Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologist certificate and this exam is next May 13th.
the first 2 parts of this certificate involve Business and Company Law. Oh boyy, our dear friend here hasn't start any of it yet..
Very smart of him, never want to waste anymore time..asking me to summarize the law part for him so that he just read my notes insteas of the whole book.

It is tough to study part time while working full time and having family as well. Ryan is constantly glued to Kit whenever Kit is home from work. Sometimes i really pitty Kit coz he never gets the rest at all. Least i get 1-2 hours rest when Ryan is taking his afternoon nap.
Ryan is more a daddy's boy than a mommy's boy...lucky me for that..hehehehe

Gotta go study now.. is hard to study now when u stop studying for so long ....need some boost juice for my brain...tea? coffee? aiks...cannot la..rosak my diet...drink water la.. :)

Try to save money??

Sigh... today i received 2 calls from Kit saying that he has to send his car for repair. First call happenened at 11 am, telling me that this morning his car making lotsa noise..he was afraid that he couldn't make it back home after work..so he decided to send the car for repair at nearby Canadian Tire ( a shop specialize in auto repair and selling home hardware stuff).
He told me that his car got some problems with the bearing at both side... (this happened because last year he sent his car for a fixed (same problem) at a local individual repair shop. Not well equiped with the right tools but cost less. So instead of saving a few hundreds last year, we ended up paying more now. Kit told me at 11 am, the repair cost abt 900 bucks.
When i heard it, i was like we could use that money to buy another second hand car, maybe a toyota or honda..but we have no choice coz we needed the car badly.

Then, another call came in around 2 plus...telling me that the shop called him and told him they found another bigger problem..the bearing hub ( i am not sure is the correct spelling..and i am not really know what is he talking abt coz i dunno abt cars) well the hub has pretty much damaged due to last time the repair man didn't fix the bearing correctly..
so in order to change 2 hubs.. it will cost all together 1800 bucks
phewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
i was like going to faint when i heard it..

u see we are not soo rich, surviving with single income..is pretty hard when things like that happen to u.
anyway, $1800 is way alot..but worth it... coz kit has to drive long distance everyday to work..i rather pay it first than sorrie later if anything happens to him..
I just hope that we dun have any emergency kinda thing like this happen.....for at least this year...hehehehe
coz we are streching the line way too much now...almost reaching to the thin line here eh..

Pork curry bun

This is my first time baking bun. I have surfed around for the dough recipe and i got it. Kit has bought me a bread machine and i have been baking own bread lately. Today i thought i'll try the curry bun.
For the curry filling, i have followed my dad's curry recipe. Well, instead of chicken i have used pork coz i have ran out of chicken breast.

Curry Recipe:
2 cups of thinly sliced chicken/pork/beef
3 diced cube potatoes
4 cloves of garlic
4 small red onion
2 shallots 1 small piece of ginger
4 tablespoon of meat curry powder( i used malaysia Allagapas brand)
2 teaspoon of chili powder

Step 1: Peel all the garlic, onion, and ginger and blend them into a paste form.
Step2: Season the meat with some salt, sugar and pepper. if u r using chicken, add some chicken stock powder.
Step3: Mix the curry powder and chilli powder into the onion,garlic and ginger paste to make red in colour. If u r in malaysia, u dun have to blend the ginger,onion and garlic ingredients coz u can buy it at the wet market with the "chili boh" in it.
Step 4: Heat the pot with 4 tablespoon oil and start saute the curry paste till fragrant
Step 5: Stir fry the diced potatoes in another pan..while waiting for the curry paste to get fragrant
Step6: After the curry paste get some fragrant, pour in 1 cup of milk/coconut milk (i prefer milk-more healthy)..hehe
Step 7: Stir in the seasoned meat and cook it for 5 mins
Step 8: Pour in the half cooked potatoes into the curry and cook in a slow heat for 10 mins
Step 9: Add some salt and pepper to taste.
Step10: Stir constantly till the curry gravy got dry.

Bread Recipe Dough
2 tablespoon sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups all purpose flour(if u r in Canada, u can use Canadian all purpose flour, if u r in US/other country u use bread flour)
1 tablespoon olive oil/vegetable oil/shortening
1 large egg
1 cup + 2 tablespoon warm water

Topping
1 egg,ligtly beaten with 3 tablespoon water

Bread machine method: Place all the dough ingredients into the pan of ur bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer (usually, liquids first, yeast last). Program the machine for dough or manual, & press Start. Check the dough about 10 mins before the end of the final kneading cycle and adjust its consistency as neccessary by adding additional water of flour to form a soft, smooth ball. Allow the machine to complete its cycle, then allow the dough to remain in the machine till it's tripled in bulk, perhaps for another hour.

Manual/mixer method: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine all the dough ingredients, and mix until the dough starts to leave the sides of the bowl. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased or floured surface, and knead it for 6 to 8 minutes, or until it's smooth and shiny. Or knead it in a mixer using the dough hook.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl or rising bucket,turn to coat, cover the container with plastic wrap, and let the dough rise till it's trippled in bulk. (approximate 2-3 hours)

Shaping: Turn the dough out onto a lightly greased or lightly floured work surface, and divide it into 8 pieces, each abt 3 ounces (85g), a bit smaller than a tennis ball. Cover the dough pieces, and let them rest while u prepare the filling of ur choice.

Cover the unsed dough pieces with a damp cloth or plastic wrap as u work. Working with one piece at a time, use ur fingers to flaten it into a 4-inch round whose edges are slightly thinner than the center. Place a heaping tablespoon of the filling in the center of the dough, pull the edges into the center to enclose the filling, pinch to seal, then give the pinched edged a twist, to seal even more securely. Place the buns sealed-side-down on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough pieces and filling,placing buns abt 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Cover the buns with proof cover or lightly greased plastic wrap. After 45 mins, brush them with the topping, and re-cover. After 1 hour(15 mins later), brush them agian with the topping.

Baking: Bake the buns in a preheated 350F ove for 30 mins or until they are golden brown.

**** I have tasted one of the bun...it taste not too bad...for a first timer..although the bread texture is a little bit dry..maybe i can improve it next time.. :)

"Siew Siew" (Smile Smile)

Ryan loves to take pictures and he loves to post for u whenever he sees u hold a camera. He learned the word "siew siew" means smile smile in cantonese. So last friday while Kit was surfing the net, he saw the digital camera..and he said "siew siew" non-stop.

Best friend made my day

Last night i was not feeling very good..not that i was sick though..but emotionally i was a little bit down... don't wish to go in detail overhere..
anyway..got up quite early this morning..around 6 am...(usually i wake up at 8) .couldn't sleep at all... got bad headache..and felt very moody and down. I thought i can wash up and go for a walk alone b4 Kit goes to work around 6.40am.
At least a small walk around the block...get some fresh air...maybe can wash away the mushy and mashy feeling..
While i was brushing my teeth..Ryan got up and tagging along whereever i go...sigh..rosak plan pulak...
so we went downstairs..heat some milk for him to drink...change his diaper...and i look at the clock it was 6.20 am..and quite bright outside. SO i thought hey..why not i stroll Ryan round the block..it will be the same...
I know ..i know..is dangerous..very early and quite..but i like it quite..so i took the chance..
Well we did enjoy ourselves...i did some workout... and i took him to a playground..very nearby the house...he managed to have some fun there...
but we didn't stay long though..coz it was a littly breezy and chilly!

We got home around 7.30 am... i wash his hands and face again..n gave him his bottle of milk and we watch sesame street show together. :)
It was fun and i decided to give my best friend a call. She is my highschoolmate and best friend..
The conversation went so well...i actually miss her alot...and it really feels good when u get to catch up with ur old pal :)
she really made my day!

After talking to her.. Ryan and myself went out to the backyard for another fun thing. I clean up my garden and get prepared for spring and summer plants..and Ryan was getting busy with the dirt and jumping on the puddle!
yup..another busy and dirty day for RYan....
more work for me to do lor...more washing :) but i never complain...i dun mind the washing..as long as he had fun! :)

My day so far ..went pretty well..eventhough is just 2 plus pm rite now.. I am happy :)

Ryan's language

Well ryan has already turn 2 years old and his vocabulary has increased a little bit. When he was 1 year plus he can only speaks "nen nen" (milk in chinese), "arrr tttuuuu" (RYan's version of love u),"tat tat" (doing big business or pee pee), hellooooooo, bye bye..

yup that's about it... doctor said some children develop pretty slow on speech..therefore.. i have to talk more to Ryan everyday.. like as if i am talking to an adult...
Well, my effort pay off ..hehehe..rite now he can say lotsa words other than the words above..

Now he can say :

ooorr seee ar (doing big business arr in cantonese)

orrr niuu (pee pee in cantonese)

yai yai (notty in cantonese)

ngan ngan (eye in cantonse)

pei pei (nose in cantonse)

arr chai (ear in cantonese..the rite word is yee chai.. it seems like he cannot pronounce the front word..and he likes to replace with ar)

arr pin (niu pin for diaper in cantonese)

arr fun(sek fan for eat rice or dinner in cantonese)

arr teen(mou teen for no more battery in cantonese ..coz Ryan loves to play remote control car that Kit bought for him till no more battery)

cookie- this english word he learns from sesame street's cookie monster..and furthermore whenever i am changing him and he saw cookie monster picture on the diaper he will say cookie

no more- he will say no more whenever he sees anything finish or the end..

sai sau (wash hand in cantonese)

matt matt (wipe in cantonese)

morning-he will greet me morning when he woke up every morning

arr night-he will greet me good night when he goes to sleep

meen meen (face in cantonese-ryan's version of wash up) -he will say that to me after he greets me morning every morning.. that includes brushing teeth and wash his face

and he improves his i love u already..and rite now he can say love u in full :))

boyyy he is growing very fast rite now... time really flies... we really treasure every moments we have with him...
and of course sometimes he really drive me nuts! hehehe what to do..he is a boy plus for the past months it was too cold for us to get out!
THank GOD the weather is getting warmer... yesterday was soo beautiful ..sunny and it was 12 degrees out there.
So i took the opportunity to do my laundry and let Ryan ran outside the backyard play some dirt. YUP he loves the dirt man..he even try to catch the earth worm...but of course i watch him so that he didn't put inside his mouth..heheheh
whenever he dig his hand into the dirt..he will say ..yucky yucky ar...hehehehe
then i say yea...dirt yucky yucky...but fun to play :)
i can't wait for summer to come..so that i can bring out the mini pool for him and play the water all he wants..
yesterday he was soo happy and tired from running around..he lay down on the deck...
at first i was like omigosh..i have to wash his clothes..is hard to wash man...but then on second thought..what the hey... is all worth it..let him enjoy being dirty once in awhile...i can always clean and wash..
:)

too bad today is gloomy day ...its been raining cats and dogs all day long since morning...that is why he is a little bit crancky today :(
but good news for the weekend...is going to be double digit tempreature ...n daddy is home yay!!!

i am on diet plan

Hey is about time that this big mama shed some pounds! yup my doc has made an appointment for me to meet a nutritionist on March 27th. I am in a serious stage where i weigh over 200lbs. Yeah u hear me... a person like me that stands 5 feet 2 tall weighs abt over 200lbs.. this is way serious man!
I am always on the plus size ..but after gave birth to Ryan i am getting even worst. Before i got pregnant i was only 160lbs yea...i was very happy..coz i never weigh that less...but after giving birth to Ryan..my weight just gone up and up.
This is due to i am always stayed at home especially during winter time... boyyyyy.... i ate and ate..whenever i feel bored. sigh...
Now i have to take control over my life..no more over eating ...and work out more!

So, my nutritionist has make a diet plan for every breakfast , lunch and dinner for me.
First rule of thumb, i must balance up every meal that i eat. That is, must have grains or pasta which is the carbo, then fruits or vege, milk or cheese and meat
Every meal i must balance up at least 3 category.
Ha! i learned this when i was in highschool but i never fully utilize it..kekekekek what a shame huh?

Second rule of thumb is must space out every meal at least 4-6 hours...
Hmmm..geeze this i have to force myself to do it..coz i am very easily drawn to snacking man!
So far i am doing good..its been 5 days i have started this diet plan... doing oki so far..but the first day was like hell for me!
Especially when i have to give Ryan snacks...kekkeke..can't help it! But on tuesday and wednesday..i was doing much better.. always reminded myself the look of Christie Ally ..boy she looks good now..after loosing over 60lbs with the help Jenny Craig..
But my goal is not really that big man.. i am aiming like going down below 200lbs first.. after that i am aiming like 5lbs at time.

OKie where was i... oh yea..the second rule of thumb... ..well if i can follow these 2 rules..i am doing pretty good already.
The next thing is.. i cannot snack..especially during 3-4 pm..ai yai ai yai.. that is when i needed the food the most..esp my tea man!
Ya.. and the worst part is..she said cut down on the caffaine ..my GOD! u see.. before i give birth to RYan..i am a coffee queen.. like my dad, sis and everyone of my family.. we are like addicted to NESCAFE! THanks to my DAD (used to work in NESTLE) and introduced NESCAFE to us when we were like 8 or 9 years old..kekkekeke
but after gaving birth to Ryan..i couldn't drink any coffee anymore..coz it gives me heartburn... alamak..like that no more caffaine for me lor..soooo i have no choice..gotta switch to TEA!
Before march 27th 2006 i was a tea "queen" ..now..the nutritionist ask me to change from a tea queen to a milk queen.
yup u guees it rite.. rite now while i am typing my blog..i am enjoying my cup of milk. She said women after giving birth must drink at least 2-3 cups of milk a day.. to build up the calcium back. Coz the baby took all the calcium from us..so we kinda need to replace it back. Furtheremore women reach 30 years old...they are starting to loose calcium each day bit by bit..is like our body no longer intake as many calcium as before... so women out there..start ur calcium intake man!
if u dun like milk...try to see ur pharmacist..talk to them...and ask them to give u some calcium supplements.
As for me, i have no problem with milk..i like milk very much! kekek..u can tell how fat am i..eventhough when i am young that time..i used to drink lotsa milk.
She asked me to switch to 1% milk instead of 2% milk (overhere our milk are sold in a 4 litre bags of milk which categorised from skimmed milk, 1% milk,2% milk,3.75%milk or homogenised milk) those percentage represent the fat level.

okie dokie...this is my diet plan:-

during breakfast 8.30-9am
i can eat
2 slices of toast OR
1 small bagel OR
1 english muffin OR
1 home baked muffin
PLUS
1tbsp of peanut butter + 1 tsp of jam or jelly
PLUS
1 cup of fruits (any kinds)
PLUS
1 cup of tea of coffee (with milk and 1 tsp of sugar)

*for my case..i drink tea with milk and no sugar

LUNCH 12.30pm-1pm
i can eat
2 slices of toast OR
1 large tortilla wrap (10 inch with soft flour) OR
3/4cup riceOR
1 cup of soup with one slice of bread or dinner roll
PLUS
1/4 tuna (with liget mayo, non hydrogenated margerine or butter)
OR
30z of meat
OR
1 egg
OR
2 slices of cold meat (ham)
OR
any amount of vege (if u are eating some leftover rice from yesterday dinner)
PLUS
1 cup of milk

Dinner 5.30pm-6pm
this menu is prepared for me only
3/4 cup of ricePLUS
4oz of any kinds of meatPLUS
any amounts of vege ( u can eat as much vege as u like)
PLUS
1 cup of milk

Nite time 9pm
any amount of fruits or a bowl of cereal with milk
this is like nite time snacking..kekekek


voila...this is my diet plan..i really hope it works for me...least i can shed a few lbs first...but of coz..i have to work out too...
the work out part..i will continue the next time ler..is abt this new toy that Kit bought. :)
